Best prime butcher in the Triangle! This is the first real butcher we’ve found since leaving Long Island NY in 2010.... Went to this place today for the first time looking for the short ribs that we “suppose” to be “on sale”. This place is a gem. Local and extremely popular. Great choice of steaks, monster chicken breasts and regular discount... offerings. My only regret about this place is that I didn't start coming here sooner.Update:Carolina Butcher Shop continues to be my favorite meathouse around. The quality and selection are always top notch and they continue to provide new products. Their in-house prepped items are fantastic for weeknight dinners. You will most certainly leave with more in your bag than you planned.read more

Great service and quality meat. Super friendly staff. Wide variety of cuts and types of meat. Great rubs and local... items for sale. They will special cut your meat if they don't have a steak big enough for you. Only place I will buy my meat. Over 14 variety of different sausages made in house. Still one of the best butchers in the area. The selection of prime grade meat has decreased.read more

This place has ruined mediocre steaks from grocery stores for me.. the flavor difference and tenderness is... unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and splurge on a Snake River Farms filet, strip or ribeye.. just amazing. It's a 2 hour round trip for me to stop in, and I never regret the drive.read more

Ok so i drove to this establishment from Raleigh in 5:00 rush hour traffic. I did this on a recommendation from a... casual meet on the weekend. I was not disappointed. This place has quality product at more than reasonable prices. The staff was congenial and helpful over and above the norm compared to Raleigh. Highly recommend anyone come visit, spend some money here instead of the greedy care less places in Raleigh. Thanks Carolina Butcher Shop. I will be back.read more

So I'm very upset. I've been coming here for years. I love this place. But today I go to pick up my order that I put in... on there website which did not state that the facility will be closed for a little while. Why was this not posted. I drove 35 minutes there to pick up an order that should not have even been able to go through. I have an order confirmation as well. I also called and no one answered and there was no machine to let me know that this closure was happening as well. This facility has the means to send out a mass email of there loyal customers to inform them of this change. So I'm am very disappointed at this time with the way business is being conducted. I get the construction is going on and I totally support that but please find a way to communicate the closure besides the sign in the window when you already took time out of your day to drive to a closed place. Dont worry I will be back. I love you guys but take this a learning lesson and please correct this going furtherread more

I used to really love this place. Their beef and chicken were amazing and for the price, could not be beat. But in... the past year, especially over memorial day weekend they have sold some sub par steak. Paying USDA Prime prices for sub par USDA Choice steaks... Bro you steaks are about on par with a Harris Teeter... how the mighty have fallen...The only thing that gets you two stars is how helpful the people are... also don't advertise seafood when all you have is frozen. Anybody who is anybody knows just drive to the farmers market in Raleigh for the good stuffread more

I have purchased several of their freezer filler meat bundles and I won't go back to buying meat at the grocery store!... They're a great value for the price and everything is super fresh! It's nice when chicken, bacon, pork and beef taste like meat and are not flavorless from being handled so much and stored inconsistently.read more

The selection is great and it’s nice to have this store in town. But none of the staff wear masks, which is unusual... since butchers shops are usually super hygienic. The store is usually pretty clean but it does make you wonder if they’re cutting corners behind the scenes.read more

Very friendly staff with a large selection of high quality meats for sale. Prices are very good, especially if you... consider the manager's specials. The Carolina Butcher Shop is the only local place I have found with full prime grade briskets and Wagyu grade steaks regularly in stock.I live about an hour away and I fill my cooler when I make the trip. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!Meats are SO much better than grocery store. Prices are reasonable with good variety... in "levels" of prices. No matter the price point we have found consistently excellent meats ( and CHEESES) and super friendly service. Pre made burger varieties, meatballs etc are great!! No more grocery store meat.read more

This is a great family run business! The meat is the best quality around. I have recently started driving here from... Apex/Cary area and regret not coming here sooner. All the meats are cut fresh in house and are amazing, the pork cutlets melt in your mouth, the sausages are amazing chicken cutlets are fresh and amazing. Ground beef can't get any fresher! Will be the only place I buy meat from going forward!read more

Great selection of beef, chicken, and pork. I had them cut some picahna that turned out very delicious. Their sausage... assortments were great. Heard about this place a while back, been looking for a Butcher. Needed just the point of a brisket and they cut one... for me while waiting. Burnt ends turned out great. Decided to try a couple other items; jalepeno stuff chicken breast wrapped in bacon and stuffed mushroom tops. Turned out great. Also got their box special...will be a repeat customer. I decided to repackage the meat, out of the box, in freezer bags since I wouldn't be eating for a few days.read more
